Diplomics has engaged in information gathering in order to serve the Omics community of South Africa by generating databases that will enable stakeholders to identify key areas for intervention. Some of the data gathering initiatives are:

  1. Infrastructure audit

    • Provide a bird’s eye view of inventory

    • Inform funding policy

    • Avoid redundancy

    • Optimize accessibility

  2. Socioeconomic impact study

    • Organize and streamline the South African Omics market

    • Minimize the 'monopoly effect' of Omics suppliers in South Africa

    • Follow global trends in Omics research

    • Attract long-term investment to ensure growth

    • Train and retain skills

The results of these initiatives will be made available on this website via the Intelligence portal and blog posts.
