ABOUT

The NGS Open Day workshop is a one-day workshop that will focus on the basics: What I Wish I Knew Before Starting an NGS Project (Practical considerations for starting an NGS project).


The program is structured to provide a practical, end-to-end overview of working with NGS, focusing on the key considerations researchers need to address before, during, and after starting a sequencing project. The sessions will cover:


  • Sample quality and preparation

  • NGS platform selection

  • Single-cell sequencing approaches

  • Bioinformatics planning and resource requirements

  • Large-scale genomics initiatives and infrastructure

  • Case studies from local research projects

  • Lessons learned from completed projects
