ABOUT
The NGS Open Day workshop is a one-day workshop that will focus on the basics: What I Wish I Knew Before Starting an NGS Project (Practical considerations for starting an NGS project).
The program is structured to provide a practical, end-to-end overview of working with NGS, focusing on the key considerations researchers need to address before, during, and after starting a sequencing project. The sessions will cover:
Sample quality and preparation
NGS platform selection
Single-cell sequencing approaches
Bioinformatics planning and resource requirements
Large-scale genomics initiatives and infrastructure
Case studies from local research projects
Lessons learned from completed projects
