LEARNING OBJECTIVES
ABOUT
This course will be presenting a seminar series on the principles of Oxford Nanopore Sequencing as well as provide hands-on training involving library preparation, sequence generation, data handling and analysis.
The topics are as follows:
Introduction to the Oxford Nanopore technology platform
Project planning
DNA extraction and QC
Introduction to MinKnow device monitoring software
Hands-on training including: Sequence library preparation, sequence run setup and library loading
Introduction to EPI2ME analysis software
Data handling and analysis using custom pipelines

The course is provided free of charge, however for those travelling from outside Cape Town to attend, all accommodation, subsistence and travel is at your own expense.
