Reads2Genomes: Reconstructiing SAGs and MAGs with Kbase

ABOUT

The workshop is focused on the bioinformatic applications for biologists implemented in the KBase environment. Through the workshop we will demonstrate the capabilities of KBase as an alternative to command-line tools.

The KBase platform is hardware agnostic and participants will be able to use their own devices in the workshop. No previous bioinformatic experience is required.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the conclusion of the workshop, participants will have learned about the following:

  • Introduction to the KBase platform

  • Reconstruction of genomes from single amplified genome and metagenome sequencing data Implementation of standard bioinformatic protocols

  • Data handling and submission to NCBI

PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK

No feedback from participants.
